The Left’s Attack on The Electoral College

Had crooked Hillary Clinton actually managed to persuade voters in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio that she would have somehow made for a better President than Donald J. Trump, the electoral college would be considered the most ingenious thing ever conceived by man. Fast forward roughly two years, and we are seeing an outright attack on the electoral college simply because the Democrats lost the election. Prior to the election, we were told time and time again that there was no path for Donald Trump to get to the coveted 270 electoral votes needed to win the Presidential election.

Not only did Trump hit 270, he blew it out of the water and as a result the left became even more outraged then they were when people said men shouldn’t use the women’s restroom regardless of what they identify as.  And since then there has been an all out assault on the electoral college as the left is determined to turn our Constitutional Republic into a direct democracy – otherwise known as mob rule – in which the 51% can vote for whatever they want leaving the 49% to deal with the repercussions.

We Are Not a Democracy

The term democracy has been tossed around lightly for quite some time now, and it has come to the point in which many in the United States actually believe that we are indeed a democracy. That couldn’t be further from the truth, and if the government run educational system taught our children what we pay them to teach our children, the youth of today would realize that we are actually a Constitutional Republic.

While certain aspects of our republic could be referred to as more democratic seeing as local and state elections are often times be decided using a popular vote system in which the person with the most votes wins.  That isn’t the case though when electing our Commander in Chief.

Every four years we head to the polls to cast our vote for the next President of the United States, and those votes are tabulated for all to see. But in reality it is a body referred to as the electoral college that makes the final decision as to who our next President will be. Throughout history there have been five instances in which the candidate who went on to win the Presidency actually lost the popular vote including the most recent election. In the 2016 Presidential Election Donald Trump lost the popular vote yet won an astounding 306 electoral college votes far surpassing the 270 votes needed to secure his place in history as the 45th President of the United States.

The Importance of the Electoral College

While there is suddenly much debate surrounding the electoral college – due in large part to the fact that President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the past election – it is essential that we fully understand just how important the electoral college really is. Had Hillary Clinton won the election this discussion wouldn’t even be taking place right now, nonetheless the butt hurt liberals in the northeast and on the left coast are up in arms and trying to destroy the only electoral process we have that ensures each and every state throughout this great nation of ours is represented equally.

According to the US National Archives,

The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A majority of 270 electoral votes is required to elect the President. Your state’s entitled allotment of electors equals the number of members in its Congressional delegation: one for each member in the House of Representatives plus two for your Senators. Read more about the allocation of electoral votes.

Without the electoral college our nation would essentially become a mob rule state in which the masses in the big cities would be the deciding factor in our national elections. This would leave the “fly over states” – as many on the left like to refer to them as – stranded with no representation.

The whole of the country would be run like the failed cities of New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles which would result in overbearing draconian laws and regulations spread across the country. And with a direct democracy, the majority located in the highly populated cities would dictate to the rest of the country how they would live.

As of right now many will write off this issue as a non-starter and some may even toss around the term conspiracy theory, but this idea of commandeering the electoral college to implement mob rule shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s up to us to expose the left and this devious plan to throw away what the founders put in place, without the electoral college the voices of millions of Americans will be silenced forever!

Why Trump Can Rescind Obama’s Iran Deal

Trump to Begin Process to Rescind Iran Deal! đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Let’s face it Obama had no business drafting the Iran Deal in the first place!

As we all know treaties must be approved by a super majority in the United States Senate!

According to Heritage.org

The President… shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur….

ARTICLE II, SECTION 2, CLAUSE 2

It’s extremely cut and dry here, the President has no authority to draft treaties with other countries regardless of the circumstances! As a result Obama’s Iran Deal Was essentially an illegal agreement he entered the United States in to.  Fast forward and we the pen and phone happen to be in the hands of a Republican president who has every right to literally toss the Iran Deal right in the trash.

No matter what the pseudo intellectual talking heads want the mindless masses to believe, it’s outlined in the Constitution and there really isn’t any debating it.

Let’s just hope Trump has the wherewithal to rescind the deal and kick it back to Congress where it belongs so the next President cannot undo the legislation as easily as Trump can dismantle the Iran Deal!

The Plague that is the Sanctuary City

Time We Defy Federal Statute and Take Back Our Constitutional Rights!

We have been lectured time and time again about the weight federal statutes have on the way state and local governments run their municipalities. This is being taken a step further as we are now seeing liberal circuit judges cropping up from liberal hell holes around the country to defy Trump’s actions with regards to a variety of immigration policies; policies he is attempting to enact that fall within the confines of the office of the President.

If these federal justices run amok want to defy federal law then I say conservative judges do the same when it comes to the federal government instituting legislation that infringes on our constitutional rights. The federal government after all has absolutely no right to enact legislation to restrict the 2nd amendment or any other portion of the Constitution, and it’s time we see judges defy the liberals on this and other over reaches by the federal government.

We watched a liberal federal judge in Hawaii block Trump’s imposed travel restrictions from various Middle East countries with known ties to terrorism. Thus activist judge played the typical liberal rhetoric trying to convince Americans that this travel order was somehow racist towards muslims when in actuality it was essentially the same travel restrictions put in place by Obama when he was in office. Of course we didn’t hear a damn thing from the liberal media when Obama restricted travel in to the United States, affecting the people he holds most dear. (Oops did I just say that)

Nonetheless, we are seeing the exact same thing play out again as Trump is starting to clamp down on sanctuary cities by restricting federal funds if they don’t comply with federal statute.

According to Fox News,

The ruling from U.S. District Judge William Orrick III in San Francisco said that Trump’s order targeted broad categories of federal funding for sanctuary governments, and that plaintiffs challenging the order were likely to succeed in proving it unconstitutional.

The decision will block the measure for now, while the federal lawsuit works its way through the courts.

The news comes on the heels of the Department of Justice threatening on Friday to cut off funding to eight so-called “sanctuary cities,” unless they were able to provide proof to the federal government that they weren’t looking the other way when it came to undocumented immigrants.

I love how all of the sudden the liberal, Obama appointed judge are constitutional scholars! Where were they when Obama was wiping his ass with the constitution and throwing open our borders to vagrants from every third world hell hole known to man? I know that may sound a bit harsh but it’s maddening when we see judges all of the sudden discover the Constitution when it can be twisted to suit the liberal cause of the week.

It’s time we all wake up and understand what’s at stake here. Trump has the best interest of the American people at heart as he tries to rid this country of the plague that is the sanctuary city!

The 1st Amendment Under Attack on College Campuses

The 1st amendment only applies so long as you’re not offended!

More and more we are seeing stories where conservative minded students are coming under attack for expressing their first amendment rights on college campuses.  Mind you the majority of the students expressing this right are doing so in a passive manner yet the liberals are still getting up in arms as the mere sight of a Donald Trump sign throws them into a tizzy.

If that’s not enough, conservative students are also being harassed and threatened if they dare decide to rally in support of conservative principles.

A prime example of this is the Berkeley riots we have seen break out on multiple occasions in which masked dissenters have been attacking Trump rally attendees.

What we are witnessing with these riots and various demonstrations around the country is a scary precedent.  Not only are these individuals completely devoid of rational thought they also have a demented or non-existent view of the Constitution, the rule of law, and have no understanding of how our government is designed to work.

Just look up online various interviews of individuals who are asked just what it is they are protesting for and the majority aren’t even capable of explaining why they are there or what it is they are allegedly protesting about. This only confirms the stories that have surfaced reporting that George Soros is promoting and funding the protests all over the country! After all why else would you protest something you no knowledge of?

What’s even more worrisome when it comes to the whole anti-Trump sentiment is the elimination of free speech on college campuses! As I said before, young people today literally lose it at the mere sight of something they do not agree with and subsequently demand that dissenting opinions be silenced.

 According to The Political Insider,

America’s colleges and universities are bastions of liberalism and nowhere is this more apparent than when they police their conservative students’ free speech rights.

We have one such case out of the University of South Alabama where a student was told he couldn’t post a Trump-Pence 2016 sign in his dorm window. David Meredith put up the sign on March 3, 2017 but by March 31st, he had been told by his dorm’s community director to remove it. The excuse? That his dorm window sign could be seen as an illegal political endorsement of Trump by the university and was against school rules.

An “illegal political endorsement”??? I’m sorry but when did endorsing anyone for political office become and illegal act? After all we had thousands of mindless millennials endorsing an outright socialist for political office in Bernie Sanders and no one batted an eye.  Then again this goes back to my original sentiment, you can only express your opinion so long as your not “offending others”.

The Political Insider then goes on to explain,

According to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), which helped defend him:

Meredith’s response? Two simple words: “1st amendment.”
Instead of backing down, the community director sparred with Meredith over email, arguing that the dorm was a “federal building” that could not show support for candidates. As Meredith pointed out in the exchange, this would mean that federal buildings couldn’t display the name of the president — and a state university’s dorm is not a federal building. This is not to mention that the campaign ended almost five months before Meredith’s sign went up.

However, all of this was irrelevant. Political speech is protected not only during campaign season, but after the campaign is over. Moreover, as we pointed out in our letter to the University of South Alabama earlier this week (embedded below), 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in no way requires universities to censor students’ political speech. Rather, 501(c)(3) status, at most, requires tax-exempt entities to avoid reasonable appearances that the institution itself is endorsing a particular candidate.

Courts and tax authorities have repeatedly made clear that students are strongly presumed not to speak on behalf of the universities they attend. As stated in our letter, the notion that a sign in a student’s window might be viewed as an endorsement by the institution is absurd:

Under [the university’s] application of the 501(c)(3) policy, a student may display a political sign only where nobody can see it. No person, however unreasonable, could be misled into believing that the University of South Alabama had chosen to make its endorsement, in an election for the highest office in the land, through a solitary sign placed in one of dozens of windows in one of thirty-two dormitory buildings. That the university furnishes living areas to students, at the students’ expense, does not render students’ speech that of the university. A contrary interpretation, untenable at a university of any caliber, would require administrators to police and censor nearly every political expression on campus.

So there you have it, political speech is protected free speech regardless of where and when it is being displayed.  I actually came across this in my place of work as I’m sure many others have given the atmosphere of the last election.  This is definitely a sensitive subject no matter where or when it is being discussed. As this is the case it is essential we all posses the ability to have discussions like adults and not let them end up in arguments and fist fights.
