Trump Defends Free Speech on College Campuses at CPAC 2019

Free speech is something many take for granted, yet it has been under assault for quite some time now on college campuses throughout this great nation of ours.  College campuses used to be the place for free thought and the free exchange of ideas, a place where it was possible to “offend” others without worrying about receiving an unexpected punch to the face much like Hayden Williams did on the campus of UC Berkeley.

Hayden was working as a representative from the group Turning Point USA taking part in their campus outreach program when he was approached by a snowflake as we like to call them – someone who was offended by the fact that Hayden was simply exercising his right to free speech.  After approaching Hayden the assailant who has since been identified and arrested by police outright punched him in the face.

This is just a microcosm of what is going on on college campuses throughout the country and many seem to have no problem with it whatsoever.  There have been countless interviews conducted throughout the country in which college students go on camera openly discounting such attacks because they feel that these individuals like Hayden deserve to be assaulted simply for exercising their right to free speech.  What is more ironic is that these individuals that essentially condone this type of behavior claim to be tolerant and understanding.  I guess it’s safe to say the in these cases the loudest voices for tolerance come from some of the most intolerant people.

Trump Stands up for Free Speech on College Campuses

It has surely taken quite some time to get to this point, but we finally have a President willing to address the issues many face on college campuses when it comes to free speech.  Today at CPAC President Trump outlined his plan to issue an executive order that would hold college campuses accountable when it comes to defending their students right to free speech or face consequences.

President Trump explained

“We reject oppressive speech codes, censorship, political correctness and every other attempt by the hard left to stop people from challenging ridiculous and dangerous ideas. These ideas are dangerous,” Trump said. “Instead we believe in free speech, including online and including on campus.”

“Today I’m proud to announce that I will be very soon signing an executive order requiring colleges and universities to support free speech if they want federal research grants.”

Our first amendment right to free speech is under attack on college campuses throughout the country, it is up to us to ensure that free speech remains alive and gives students and every single American citizen the ability to openly discuss their thoughts and opinions without the fear of reprisal.  Whether the left likes it or not “hate speech” as they like to call it is not illegal – and the more they classify principled conservative talking points as hate speech the more we will fight and we will win!

New Orleans Saints Demario Davis Speaks About Prison Reform at CPAC 2019

For quite some time now prison justice reform or criminal justice reform has been a major point of concern, and until now we have essentially had President after President who all spoke in platitudes but honestly did nothing to truly address the issue at hand.  Furthermore, this is an issue that transcends party politics and is one point of concern that we can all coalesce around.

Demario Davis Live from CPAC 2019!

And who better to come and address the issue than New Orleans Saints Linebacker Demario Davis.

What Did Demario Have To Say?

While everyone has something to say when it comes to politics today, especially when it comes to criminal justice reform. Throughout his discussion, Demario Davis seemed to have one truly concise point that really should strike accord with everyone.  Davis spoke about getting rid of the cash bail system which has been in the works around the country for some time now.  The idea behind this is to do away with the cash bail system as it directly affects those who are locked up for low level offenses and remain in prison simply because they cannot come up with bail as low as a few thousand dollars.

Getting Back to God

Yes! Demario Davis did go there! He spoke adamantly about the importance of getting back to God in our daily lives.  This is something many people speak about, and it is often times met with utter disdain from the liberals and many on the left.  Which is obviously due in large part to the fact that the liberals believe government should replace God in our lives and in society – but that’s another discussion for another time.  Nonetheless, Demario Davis spoke about the role God played in his life and he coupled that with the importance of family in society.  Furthermore, Davis explained that he believes in the idea of a strong family and the values and the positive affect that has on children.  Which again strikes accord with many liberals as they would rather replace the family structure with a government backed system designed to not only raise our children but to coddle them from the cradle to the grave.

Demario Davis is a role model that all children should be able to look up to today.  Far too often children idolize the wrong types of people, people that glorify mistreating women, people that are into drugs and alcohol, people that will essentially lead the youth down the path of ending up in prison.  What they need are more Demario Davis’ in the world, individuals who promote family values and putting God at the fore of our daily lives.

Trump at CPAC 2018

The Left Attacks our President Because He Is Following Through with His Promise to Make America Great Again

Today Donald J. Trump addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference for the second time as President of the United States.  In a speech that spanned more than one hour he touted his many accomplishments achieved in his first year in office and outlined plans for the next 7 years to come.

Trump spoke about the dismantling of the failed Obamacare policy that has plagued this country, he even addressed the congressional vote in which we came oh so close to a complete repeal of Obamacare if it weren’t for one congressman.

President Trump also spoke about the promises he has kept during his firs year in office, his biggest, most important promise being support for our military and law enforcement personal.  We are finally seeing a President openly support our military and police which is a refreshing change from what we have been subjected to throughout the entire Obama administration.

President Trump then proceeded to begin his jabs at the liberal progressives throughout the entire country.  His address to CPAC was littered with jabs at liberals the most effective being his defense of faith and referencing the core principles of the founding of this country and the role played by God in shaping the thoughts and minds of our founding fathers.

We all know this jab really hits home with many liberals throughout the room, especially those sitting beside me in the media section at CPAC.  The irony here is that while many liberals claim to be tolerant and understanding, they completely disregard this countries history and it’s founding principles.  They claim that there is a separation between church and state in the Constitution which couldn’t be further from the truth as the only role government plays when it comes to religion is to avoid the implementation of a government sanctioned, national religion.

Unlike any President in my lifetime we finally have a leader that realizes the importance of core family values and the role government should play in our lives.

Before concluding his address to CPAC, President Trump spoke about the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida.  This has clearly brought to light the issue we face when it comes to protecting our most cherished commodity in this country, our children.  Trump posed a couple of valid solutions to this problem, solutions that many liberal progressives just don’t want to hear as they continue on their gun grabbing, anti-2nd amendment tirade.

Our President Donald J. Trump has come home to the heart of the Conservative movement here at CPAC and provided us with a clear, concise outline of promises kept and promises to come over his next 7 years in office.

CPAC 2017 The American Brexit

What we are witnessing here at CPAC 2017 is the culmination of what many have called the American Brexit.  Not long before we took our country back, people around the world all watched as England declared their freedom from the overbearing European Union that was all but ruling England from afar.

A major factor that played in to Brexit was they fact that England was being overrun by Muslim migrants from throughout the middle east.  Citizens watched as their towns and cities were being turned what have become known as “no-go zones”.  Areas in which the Muslims essentially took over and declared sharia law as the law of the area. Often times police even avoided entering the area for fear that their own livelihood would be in danger, or that if they were to actually arrest one of these islmaists they would in turn be prosecuted and charge with profiling or worse a hate crime.
In steps Nigel Farage, a British politician, to provide us here at CPAC with a little insight and a comparison between what England accomplished with their Brexit and what we conservatives accomplished in electing Donald Trump as our president this past November.
One major comparison is the fact that here in the United States we are being overrun with illegal immigrants just as they were in England.  We have a non-existent southern border through we hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens are flooding through every year.  To put a stop to this we conservatives stood up and made our voices heard in electing Trump, an individual who ran on securing the border and reinstating the rule of law in this land.  As with Brexit we the people stood up against the socialist minded liberals throughout the country and the media and made a statement to the rest of the world that we would no longer pander to the illegal alien over the American citizen.
Nigel also spoke about how the Brexit mindset is sweeping the world.  We are seeing other countries ravaged by islamist migration from the middle east begin to wake up and make their voices heard as many of their towns and cities are literally being destroyed by this migrants.
We here at CPAC are leading the fight against the globalist mindset and I can only hope that the rest of the world wakes up and their own personal Brexit before it is too late.

A Little Inspiration Before Day 1 of CPAC 2017

CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, in case you have been living under a rock and haven’t heard of it yet is a conference right outside Washington DC every February in which Conservatives get together and discuss political issues plaguing the country. This is a national conference with attendees from every area of the country spanning age groups from students all the way up to seasoned adult conservatives.

I’m sure most just think this is a vacation for the snooty rich conservatives and for some that may be the case but for people like myself who were barely able to make it here,  it is much more than a vacation. Attending CPAC is a privilege, it is a means to an end, an end that is merely just the beginning of the Conservative movement in this country.  Seeing the enormous crowd here truly is inspiring to think this many people believe in what this country was founded upon; life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

When I arrived I wanted more than just the inspiration provided by the conference, more than just meeting up with fellow like minded conservatives. I wanted to see first hand some of the history this great nation has to offer. I wanted to pay my respects to those who gave their all to give us what we have today!

To do this I drove myself over to he Lincoln Memorial. If you have never seen this monument first hand, it is by far one of the most awe inspiring places to visit! Many today take for granted the sacrifices made by these great men and fail to fully understand what they went through to found this country we call The United States. These men put it all on the line, their fortunes, livelihoods, and even the future of their families to lay the groundwork to form what we have today!

What does any of this have to do with CPAC? Well the motto for CPAC, “We the People: Reclaiming America’s Promise” pretty much sums up exactly what we are all doing here. We are here to discuss how we are going to reclaim the promise outlined by the great men who founded this nation of ours. We are here to find solutions as to how we are to overcome the socialist minded individuals who’s goal is to destroy everything the founders laid out, everything they envisioned this country would one day be.

We are at a tipping point in this country, we must ensure that we keep the founders ideals alive and well in this country.  Many around the world look to America as the preserver of freedom, the one nation in the world where its citizens are truly free. THAT is what we are doing here at CPAC, we are collaborating to find ways to battle the liberal movement in this country. A movement that is hell bent and determined to destroy the Constitution and the entire Republic!
